Biography

Haowei Wu received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2003, 2006, and 2012, respectively. He is an Associate Professor at the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, and the Center of Communication & TTC, Chongqing University, Chongqing. He is also with Chongqing Key Laboratory of Space Information Network and Intelligent Information Fusion. He was an academic visitor of the Queen Mary University of London and the University of Surrey, U.K. from 2019 to 2020.

Research interests

His current research interests include wireless communication theory and system, physical layer signal processing, and wireless mobile networks.

Over 10 research projects from government agencies and companies, including Sub-projects of National High-Tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), Sub-project from Advanced Research Project of Civil Aerospace Technologies in 13th Five-year Plan, China Next Generation Internet (CNGI) Project, Academician Consultation Projects of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Key Project of Fundamental Research Funds for Central Universities, and projects of China Aerospace Technology Group Corporation and Sunplus Inc.

Teaching and Awards

Ø 25 M.S. graduated, and currently 3 Ph.D. students and 8 M.S. students

Ø Developed and taught 1 new graduate course “Principles and Methods of Satellite Navigation and Positioning”（ZS12052）

Ø Excellent Instructor Awards for conducting students to win several awards in national or international postgraduate competitions, including National Special Prize and First Prize of China Postgraduate Electronic Competition in 2017, 2018 and 2019, the unique Special Prize of international OpenHW (Open source HardWare and embedded contest) by Xilinx University Program in 2014, National Third Prize of China Postgraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling 2014.
