Dr. Yueping Cai is an Associate Professor in the School of Micro-Electronics & Communication Engineering at Chongqing University, Chongqing, China.

Hereceived B.E. and M.E. degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2003 and 2005, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan, in 2010. He was a research engineerof optical networkingat Huawei Technologies, Shenzhen,China in 2006. He visited The University of British Columbia, Canada,as a scholar in 2018. His research interests include: Industrial Internet, cloud data center networks, computing power networkingand future Internet.He has published over 20 technical papers in refereed journals and conferences, and is the holder of 6 Chinese patents. He has graduated over 12 master students at Chongqing University who are now holding key industry positions.

He is leading the Ubiquitous Deterministic Networking Lab of the Alliance of Industrial Internet. His research has been supported by: National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Chongqing, Research Fund of Young Scholars for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education,Ministry of Education China, Open Project of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks (Peking University), and Fundamental Research Funds for theCentral UniversitiesChina.

He was awarded: Japanese Government Scholarship 2006-2009, Chinese Government Scholarship 2009, President Award of the University of Electro-Communications in 2010, Masayoshi Sugano Research Memorial Award from Japan-China Science and Technology Exchange Association in 2010, IEEE ICC2009 Student Travel Grant Award,The Telecom System Technology Prize by The Telecommunications Advancement FoundationJapan in2011, Talent Prize as Communication Bridges between Japan and China in 2011 and so on.He is a member of IEEE, ACM and CCF.
