PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

Under the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two universities, the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering of Chongqing University and York University of UK have reached an agreement to establish a joint program of master in electronic and communication engineering, so as to cultivate communication engineering professionals with comprehensive quality and international vision, and promote the internationalization process of undergraduate education. Upon completion of their studies, students will receive a bachelor's degree from Chongqing University and a master's degree from York University.

ENROLLMENT OBJECTS AND CONDITIONS

1. Enrollment target

(1) This joint program is for full-time freshmen to senior undergraduates in the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering;

(2) Physical and mental health, with independent life and learning ability and the spirit of hard work;

(3) Have the financial ability to study and live abroad, and have paid all the fees due to the school.

2. Application requirements

Good English level, with TOEFL score of 79 (listening 17, reading 18, oral 20, writing 17) or above; or IELTS total score of 6.0 (no less than 5.5) or above before going abroad.

TRAINING MODE

1. The "3 + 2" mode is adopted for the joint training of professional degrees

Academic year 1-3: students complete undergraduate study in School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Chongqing University;

Academic year 4-5: students enter York University for master's degree study, academic research, project research, etc., and complete all credits, thesis writing and defense required by the University.

2. The "4 + 1" mode is adopted for the joint training of professional degrees

Academic year 1-4: students complete undergraduate study and graduation project in School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Chongqing University;

In the fifth academic year, students enter York University for master's degree study, academic research, project research, etc., and complete all credits, thesis writing and defense required by the University.

DEGREE AND DEFENSE REQUIREMENTS

Students can obtain bachelor's degree and master's degree certificate from Chongqing University and York University respectively after completing the required studies and meeting the requirements for bachelor's degree of Chongqing University and master's degree requirements of York University.

TUITION FEES

According to the agreement: 10% off the tuition fee of international students.

REGISTRATION METHOD

From freshmen to seniors, fill in the application form of School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering and submit it to the school counselor and academic affairs office.
