From July 22 to August 19, 2018, 14 outstanding students from the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering went to Queen's University Belfast to participate in the 2018 summer school, which was led by Cui Wei, an undergraduate counselor.
The study courses arranged in the summer camp are rich and interesting. In addition to general education, the students of the College of microelectronics and communication engineering also choose mathematics, computer, astrophysics, geography, comprehensive ability and other courses. The teaching methods of Queen's University are open, novel and effective. Students not only have a new understanding of the original vague and astringent professional concepts, but also have a certain understanding of relevant interdisciplinary knowledge. The design and assembly of multi axis robot, leadership training and speech presentation promotion courses have improved the learning ability, organizational ability and team cooperation awareness of all of us. In addition to classroom study, Queen's University also organized many group activities: visiting Coca Cola company, Titanic center, giant's road, Belfast castle, and participating in the kite festival by the sea, so that we can fully appreciate the beautiful natural scenery and long history and culture of Northern Ireland.
After one month's study and exchange, the international vision of teachers and students has been greatly improved, and the spiritual outlook of teachers and students in the college has also been shown. In the future, the College of microelectronics and communication engineering will continue to cooperate with foreign universities to help build a first-class university and cultivate first-class talents.
