At the invitation of the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering of Chongqing University, Professor Yang Kun of University of Electronic Science and Technology came to our college for academic exchange on the afternoon of July 27, 2021. Professor Yang Kun is a national distinguished professor of the University of Electronic Science and technology, chairman Professor of the School of Computational Science and Electronic Engineering of Essex University in UK, academician of the European Academy of Sciences and academician of the European Academy of Sciences and arts. His main research interests include: wireless network and communication, future Internet technology, wireless data and energy integrated communication network, communication and computing integration technology, etc. He has published more than 400 papers in international core journals and major conferences, authorized more than 20 international and domestic invention patents, and was selected as the "top 2% scientists in the world" released by Stanford University in 2020, with nearly 10000 academic citations from Google. Founding member and one of the six executive standing committee members of IEEE Intercloud, reviewer of WMC GLOMO award of world mobile conference, associate editor of several IEEE journals, outstanding speaker of IEEE Communication Association (2020-2021), and has won the best paper award of IEEE mainstream conferences for many times.
The title of Professor Yang Kun's academic lecture was "energy self sustainability in future wireless networks". The lecture report was presided over by Cai Yueping, associate professor of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, with the participation of more than 10 young teachers and more than 10 graduate students, including associate professor Jian Xin and researcher Chen Chen. First of all, associate professor Cai Yueping presided over the report and expressed a warm welcome to Professor Yang Kun. Professor Yang Kun gave a brief introduction to the energy transmission technology of wireless induction charging, and shared his understanding of the development status of RF energy transmission combined with his rich research experience over the years. After that, Professor Yang Kun made a comprehensive interpretation of the various solutions and existing problems of the trade-off design of wireless digital energy integrated transmission currently carried out by his team, such as RF energy transmission, information coding control and information modulation control. Further, Professor Yang Kun introduced his team's many works in related research and design, and showed his team's experimental results and latest research progress in wireless energy supply communication system. In addition, Professor Yang Kun has also made a brief prospect for the design of simultaneous interpreting signals based on WiFi, software radio and 5G. At the end of the lecture, Professor Yang Kun had extensive exchanges with associate professor Cai Yueping and other teachers and students, and answered and discussed the questions raised by the audience on the details and limitations of the system implementation. The exchange ended smoothly in a warm atmosphere of academic discussion.
