The 12th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN 2020) was successfully held from June 12 to 15, 2020. The conference was supported by IEEE and IEEE communications society. Chongqing Institute of Electronics, Journal Office of Chongqing University of Posts and telecommunications, 54th Key Laboratory of Communication Network Information Transmission and Distribution Technology of China Electronic Science and Technology Group, and Sichuan Electronic Society were co-organizers.

  The conference attracted participants from China, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Philippines, Chinese mainland and Taiwan. The theme focused on communication software and network, and set up a high level international platform for experts, scholars and professional technicians engaged in the research of related technology.

  The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Yu Yantao. Professor Liu Min, vice president of our college, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of the school and the college. She first expressed her sincere welcome and greetings to the participants, introduced the history and advantages of Chongqing University, and wished the conference a complete success. Professor jalel Ben Othman, from the 13th University of Paris, France, delivered the opening speech.

  IEEE fellow, Professor Xi Zhang of Texas A & M University, IEEE fellow, Prof. Teng Joon Lim of Sydney University, IEEE fellow and Professor Qi Zhongyong of National Tsinghua University of Taiwan were invited to make special reports on the latest progress of relevant research and application, in-depth exchange and sharing of research results. The representatives at the meeting spoke highly of the reports. Prof. Guo Yantao, Professor Koichi Asatani of Shanghai University, IET fellow of South University of Science and Technology, Professor Shi Rong of Key Laboratory of Information Transmission and Distribution Technology of Communication Network of China Electronics Technology Group attended the opening ceremony.

  During the discussion session from June 13 to 15, the conference set up 8 sub venues. The participants had in-depth communication and sharing on optical communication system and technology, wireless transmission theory and technology, mobile communication and data network, computer network and information communication, communication principle and technology, information network and security, image and signal processing, computer science and information engineering research findings. Chen Zhengchuan, Chen Chen and Zhang Lei, as the chairman of the branch, presided over the group discussion in the afternoon. All employment report papers will be published by IEEE and submitted to Scopus and EI core search.
