Dr. Yueping Cai received the B.E., M.E. degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2003 and 2005 respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan, in 2010. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the College of Communication Engineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing, China. He was a research engineer of Huawei Technologies China in 2006. He has published about 20 journal and conference papers in the area of information and communication networking. His research has been supported by: National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Chongqing, Research Fund of Young Scholars for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education, Ministry of Education China, Open Project of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks (Peking University), and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities China. He was awarded: Japanese Government Scholarship 2006-2009, Chinese Government Scholarship in 2009, President Award of the University of Electro-Communications in 2010, Masayoshi Sugano Research Memorial Award from Japan-China Science and Technology Exchange Association in 2010, IEEE ICC2009 Student Travel Grant Award, The Telecom System Technology Prize by The Telecommunications Advancement Foundation Japan in 2011, Talent Prize as Communication Bridges between Japan and China in 2011 and so on. His research interests include: photonic communication networks, cloud data center networks, software-defined networking, information-centric networking and network virtualizations. He is a member of IEEE, ACM and CCF.
